What exactly does DAWNING do?
Since our founding in 2014, two things remain the same: with every new project we start from zero, and we are in a constant process of reinvention. DAWNING has worked in multiple countries on a variety of social and environmental justice issues including migration, displacement, women’s rights, indigenous rights, climate, and conflict resolution. We partner with international nonprofits, private companies, foundations and multilateral organizations to make it happen.
You can read about our services, our ethical principles and values, and our core team , and see all our projects on this website.

Who makes up DAWNING?
DAWNING is run day-to-day by a core team of dedicated professionals who work from around the world and travel as project leaders any time we conduct fieldwork. Since our founding, we have collaborated with over 150 individuals from more than 25 countries. We don’t subcontract work. For each project, the core DAWNING team invites world-class specialists to join the mission. We are not divided in cubicles. We do real teamwork: for every project we do, every team member works very closely together with one another.

We accept grants and donations from individuals and organizations aligned with our mission and values. If you are interested in supporting DAWNING, please contact us.
